Finding companies and platforms

Browse Companies and Platforms, or use Search for names, slugs, headquarters, and use-case tags. Multiple words are AND’d — each word may hit a different field, so “figure ai” still finds Figure. The coverage hub lists every published company and platform.

Each dossier covers leadership (as disclosed), open questions, specifications, funding, commercial activity, timelines, and legal/IP when a citable source exists.

Citations and blank cells

Non-obvious claims show a citation mark ” — the brass square with a serif closing quote — when a primary source exists. Click or focus the mark to open the URL, snippet, and access date. Source-quality chips (Confirmed / Reported / Rumored) stay separate and are not this mark.

A blank field means we do not yet have a citable source. A number without a source stays blank. When a gap has a useful note, the page may show a tan banner labeled Not in cited set. The banner stays hidden when there is no useful note. What a blank means is on Methodology.

Compare

Compare two to four platforms on cited fields only. With a comparison open, use Comparing to change, swap, or remove one platform without clearing the others.

Timeline, funding, and legal/IP

Timeline records announced versus actual dates when both are cited.

Funding lists rounds as disclosed in the sources we cite — one announcement is one round. The annotated card below shows chips, snippet, and source.

Legal/IP lists patents and dockets, with a public-page link when one is available. It is not legal advice.

How to read a funding card

Each cited round shows the disclosed amount and valuation, then the source state and the sentence those figures come from. An amount the announcement did not state stays blank.

“Today we’re announcing that we have exceeded more than $1 billion in committed capital through our Series C financing round, at a post-money valuation of $39 billion.”

How to read a funding card — Figure Series C as cited on the desk.

  1. Chips. Source state (Confirmed / Reported / Rumored) plus the fields that quote covers — not the brass quote mark next to the figure. That mark means a primary source exists and opens the citation. Two chips may point at one sentence when amount and valuation share a source.
  2. Snippet. The verbatim sentence from that source. One snippet per round when the same URL states both figures.
  3. Source. Title and publisher with a link you can open. Access date lives on the citation mark next to the figure.

Changelog

The changelog is the record of the cited set: new companies and platforms, and changes to funding, timeline, commercial rows, legal, specs, media, and citations. Each update is its own entry, not a wall of text. It is not a news product, and it does not list site changes.

Filters at the top narrow the list by company, platform, and data category. Company and platform pages show a Recent updates block at the bottom, scoped to that company or platform. The block stays hidden when empty, and links to the filtered changelog when that is useful.

Calendar

Calendar lists cited conference and demo appearances and dated company catalysts (production, sites, ship windows, earnings). A year, month, or named window stays at that precision. Empty when there is no primary cite.

Media

Some dossiers include still photographs or YouTube embeds when rights-clean media is available. Media sits above Sources as compact thumbnails; click to enlarge a still or open the official embed. Many files have none; that is expected.

Use
